Pastoral Counselor
Growing up as a pastor’s son, I saw the value of comfort and challenge acted out in the church’s ministry. Those churches, human as they were,  played important parts nurturing my unfolding as a child of God. Following a call to ministry two years after college, I again was nurtured by the community of faith in seminary.  I was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in 1995 and had the privilege of serving as pastor of churches in Georgia and North Carolina. After eight years of ministry seeing individuals, couples, and families hurting in their lives and relationships, I became aware of gifts in me for helping others find their way through difficult times. After returning to school for more training in pastoral counseling and marriage and family therapy, it has been my privilege for the last twenty-one years to sit with people like you every day in individual, couple, and family counseling. Whether sitting with adults or adolescents, individuals, couples, or families, it is my opportunity to witness the new life that can come when people claim time, space, and help.
